Portland Voice

Portland Voice is a community media platform that provides data-driven analyses of homelessness to promote effective and cost-efficient approaches to ending homelessness in Multnomah County.

Helping someone rebuild their life takes more than good intentions — it takes showing up at every stage. From the first conversation on the street to a safe place to sleep to the care needed to heal, real change happens when outreach, treatment, and housing work together

Outreach

The journey begins because of outreach. People in the streets gaining trust, informing, and connecting people with services is critical to helping people change their situation for the better.

Treatment

Many of the people experiencing homelessness are also experiencing serious medical and mental health conditions that prevent them from pursuing help or making progress toward recovery.

Housing

Life outside is hard and unforgiving. Every person deserves to sleep in safety and comfort in at least a temporary shelter or, transitional supporting housing, and eventually a permanent home.

Solving homelessness requires more than intention it requires precision. Outreach builds connection, treatment addresses the root, and housing secures the future. When compassion meets data, communities move from managing homelessness to ending it.
